All right. I am done drawing kisses for awhile. But all this talk of OTPs got me thinking. And then I saw a thing on tumblr asking for people to describe their OTP in the worst way possible. I couldn't resist. Not all of these are OTPs. Some of them are just crazy kids that I would like to see make it together. Anyway, I came up with ten.
1. A disheveled and very probably mentally ill genius love/hates a straight-laced and bitterly handicapped genius.
2. A self-righteous hobo and a weak-willed has-been, both with intimacy issues.
3. The most unreliable narrator ever fangirls all over an ineffective, immature scientist.
4. An underage whiner gets suckered in marrying a dead conman.
5. A failed cop and a retired killer turned domestic help.
6. A frigid beauty with trust issues and a reformed big bad guy turned law enforcement.
7. A sheltered bookworm princess and the the strong/silent hayseed brother of one of her best friends.
8. An irresponsible shapeshifter and a gloom-n-doom sorceress.
9. Cannon fodder with a stubborn streak and a bad temper denies being in love with a NOT-people-person know-it-all.
10. A sarcastic mystic without a single fuck to give and a neurotic bundle of phobias and bad teeth
Ten points if you can guess who they are!
Ok, I'm completely obsessed with Welcome to Night Vale lately, so bear with me. The weird thing is that I have trouble drawing the characters because I don't have any real headcanon for what they look like. Cecil has been drawn in every conceivable seeming, from Norman Rockwell hometown boy to eldritch tentacled being. I do like the theory that he might be Native American (thus the annoyance at the Apache Tracker) but in my mind's eye, he's an amalgam of all of the fanart I've seen.
Carlos is easier because I used to know a guy named Carlos who had an unfortunate buzzcut, so I kind of picture Cecil's Carlos like him with his hair grown out.
It certainly doesn't hurt that drawing eyes and tentacles is fun.
