More fanart from 's Watchmen/zombie fic, Now, As Before. In chapter 8, Rorschach is still fighting his own infection and Dan was attacked but the armor saved him.

"And he feels stupid and unbearably brave all at once because he can hear Ozymandias's cold accusations and he can hear the hospital director saying that he won't get a warning and his free arm is sore and aching from where the scavenger's bite crushed the armor around it but he still loops it over the shivering body next to him and tucks himself up against it, letting his warmth be leeched clean off through both layers of fabric."

It's written for Dan's point of view, but I ended up drawing the bruised arm coming to Rorschach's attention.

When we had horses, I got bitten a few times, and even when it didn't break the skin, there was some bruising. I used that and this for reference.
