Somewhere in the Cargo Hold

Poor Asudem. He gets very few lines in the story, mostly because he doesn't talk. But he's sort of the Animal of the group... a mostly-feral percussionist with no verbal skills, limited people skills, unkempt appearance, manic personality, who tends to attract a select group of groupies. Even they don't know why. Maybe it's pheremones.

Despite it all though, he hasn't played a very big part in the story. Most of the attention is taken up by Black Janet and Tusker. Darn telepaths get all the attention. Oere and Dmejen are doing their best to be the main sub-plot with their angsty love and redemption saga... So where does that leave Asudem? Cooling his heels in the cargo hold. The band isn't allowed to let him ride in the cabin on their gig trips anymore. He eats all the food, tears up all the upholstery, and had a strange affect on some stewardesses.

His particular species has hair that moves tentacle-like with their thought patterns, so you can tell he's all mellowed out because not only is he sitting still, but his hair is mostly laying down too. He's probably been heavily sedated for the trip, been given a herbal cigarette to finish the job, and fitted with some comfy restraints. I don't know what he did with his clothes.
