Never Alone

There was a prompt on the kinkmeme asking for a story on what would've happened if Rorschach survived Karnak, but didn't go with Dan and Laurie. It was pointed out that if he didn't go with them, he would be stuck in Antarctica, and either freeze to death or have to hole up in some abandoned research center.

And what hangs out in abandoned research centers? John Carpenter's The Thing, of course! Which started out taking the shape of a sled dog. Poor Rorschach can't have a moment's peace, can he?

This is mostly a WIP (note the craptacular photoshop layer slapped on it) but the notion took hold and wouldn't leave me alone. My favorite part of it was the duct-tape and stitched up old parka he had to refurbish to live. Ain't no 'fine like this' at -85.
